4 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2018 | Great March meeting! Thank you to everyone who attended. Our meeting was all about cats. Ellen Carr did an excellent job. We also want to welcome our two new members to the group! We still need help cleaning the kennels. You would only have to sweep them out once every two months. You pick your week and pick what day you want to clean them. It takes no more than 20 minutes. If you're interested please contact me. A reminder to all, keep your pet's chip information updated. If you change your address or phone number you need to give the chip company your new information. Also, if you have a lost pet or find one please call the Main Gate. Security will notify us to assist in getting your pet home. The EPAP Disaster Drill is set for June 15. We need two more dogs to participate in the drill. Please contact me if you can volunteer your pet. Our next meeting is Mon., May 21, at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Our guest speaker is Chris from Enlighten Dog Training. Chris will be demonstrating CPR for dogs. If you have any pet items to donate please contact Helen Mattias at 797-0583. It's coyote mating season. Keep a close watch on your pets! See you all at the May meeting! Info., Sandra Burgon, (909) 855- 0226. EPAP ANIMAL RESCUE In recent times, there have been quite a few websites established that make offering a short term rental easy and appealing. However, in the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association, short term rentals are not allowed per the CC&Rs. Homeowners are not allowed to rent their unit for any period shorter than one year. The Board made this CC&R change in 2014 after a majority vote from the owners to create this restriction. Article V, Section 5.04 of the CC&Rs states: "…no Owner shall rent or lease his Lot or Condominium for transient or hotel purposes, or for a period of less than one year, nor shall an Owner rent or lease less than his entire Residence." Please remember that the amenities of Sun Lakes Country Club HOA are a set of privileges to be enjoyed by the registered residents who live here. A violation of these governing documents could have consequential results. If you have any questions or concerns about renting your home, please call the Admin office for clarification. ~ Etanisla Lopez-Ortiz, CMCA®, Planning and Compliance Department Manager Short Term Rentals Not Allowed
